Our Process

Building a superyacht is a highly customized and complex process that is a multifaceted process involving a series of steps. From the owner’s initial vision to the detailed design, engineering, construction, outfitting, commissioning, sea trials and delivery, ICE Yacht aim to make the new build experience as enjoyable as possible.

01

Concept & Vision

Designed in house with collaboration with leading naval architect, designers, and project managers, ICE Yacht’s experts work with the owner to define the yacht’s purpose, desired features, and budget.

02

Proposal & Contract

ICE Yacht Project Managers prepare an initial proposal outlining timelines, a potential delivery date, and preliminary plans. A comprehensive new build contract between the owner and ICE Yacht is finalised, outlining the project scope, technical specifications, general arrangement, construction schedule, payment schedule, and warranty terms.

03

Design & Construction

Engineering and design are finalised before full construction begins with the building of the hull and superstructure. Before the hull and superstructure are welded together, all large systems and equipment, including engines and generators, are installed. The vessel then begins the outfitting of the interior, mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.

04

Sea Trials & Delivery

Once the yacht is commissioned to ensure all systems and components meet operational requirements, the yacht is deemed fully operational and begins sea trials. ICE Yacht complete rigorous sea trials to assess performance, manoeuvrability and stability in various conditions. Once the sea trials are successfully approved, the new Owner takes delivery.
